Contraindictions for rosemary essential oils
Even if pure essential oils are natural, they can be really strong and have side effects when used in the wrong way. Therefore, always make sure you take your doctor’s advice before using anything new on your skin or orally. We also advise you to test essential oils on your arm 24h before using them on your face.
Please note that Rosemary Camphor is not suitable for pregnant women due to its neurotoxic effects and abortion risks, nor for children under 7. Sensitive elderly, people with high blood pressure and epileptics should also avoid using this essential oil. These contraindications are the same for Rosemary Verbenone, except regarding people with high blood pressure. However, due to its progesterone-like effect, people with hormone-dependent cancer history should avoid this type of essential oil. Finally, pregnant and breast-feeding women and children younger than 6 should avoid using Rosemary Cineole essential oil. It is also not recommended for use in people with risk of epileptic occurrences or in asthmatic people.
