The Latin name of Italian helicryse comes from the Greek words ‘helios’ or sun and ‘chrysos’ or gold. The French call this plant ‘immortal’ (that lasts always or eternal) because of its always yellow flowers, even after drying. As its smell evokes curry, it is called curry plant. Immortal oil is extremely effective after a fall or bruise. It can be used locally and supports the healing function of the skin.
