There are different chemotypes (ct.) of thyme. Depending on the growing environment (climate, soil, altitude, …), plants of this specific botanical species give oils with completely different compositions. Because of its irritating effect on the skin, this oil can only be used in diffusion (in synergy with other milder essential oils), at very low doses. Thyme essential oil strengthens the resistance, stimulates and softens the throat and respiratory tract.
