This oil has a very characteristic fragrance due to the presence of methyl salicylate. At present, this constituent can be produced synthetically and is used in sports creams and heating ointments for muscles. This oil is used exclusively for local use to maintain the flexibility of muscles and joints. It has a warming effect on the muscles before and after sport.
